With Bert and her daddy's t-shirt. She still has that babyish, slightly dazed look
in this photo. In later pictures she is much more focused.

Vera with her toy dog, a gift from our friends Russ and Holly. She loves
to chew on this toy. It has four brightly-colored and distinctly-textured
gnawable flat rubber paws, just like a real dog. Or at least as far as she
knows, to date. I hope when she meets a real dog she does not try to treat
it like she treats this one.

Here she is... a smiling, damp bundle of love!
|
Whoah... what are you doing with the camera, Dad?
|
Don't worry, this is not her real hair. This will be a great photo to
show to her prom date.

Take outside in our apartment building's courtyard. Pensive.

Take outside. Cute.

In Erie, at the Presbyterian Lodge nursing home. Four generations: my
mother, age 67; my grandmother, age 102, vera, about six
months in this photo, and me. I'm 37.

Her first whole dish of solid food (rice cereal). I think she had eaten
a spoonful or two before now, but more of it stayed in her mouth this time.
|
In her bath seat, in the tub. If you zoom in, you can see the flash-
frozen droplets of water!

A baby glamour shot! So stylish!
